The Ultimate Home Bar Accessory

Dusted off the Beer Meister today. I am going to have to clean the lines a little and re-charge the CO2 bottle. I can't wait to get this baby fired up! Tap beer is always the best, especially at home! Keg beer is alot cheaper as well. I have not used this thing in a few years, but it still works. I plugged it in a few days ago and the refridge still cools nicely. I purchased this thing years ago. It's a pretty funny story. See, years ago they did not sell these things in appliance stores. You had to get them at specialty stores like restaurant supply stores an such. This brand is like Kirby vacuums. You would need to call a Beer Meister rep and he would come to your house and give you a sales pitch and crap. I was in Dallas at the time. I had never lived in a "dry county" and had no idea what it was. I found out. I picked out my apartment because it was a block away from a Kroger. What I did not realize at the time was, Kroger did not sell beer. I had to drive 17 miles just to pick up a 6 pack. So, one day I look in the phone book and found a Beer Meister rep. I gave him a call and set up an appointment. This guy shows up, kind of an older guy with some sales flyers and a video tape that looked like it was made back in the 70's. I informed him that I wanted to buy a Beer Meister and he went into his little sales speal. I told him again, "look, just tell me where to sign, you got the sale" but he kept going. About 20 mins. Later he tells me "now it's time to enjoy tap beer in your own home" I'm thinking "great, it's about time! He brought a unit with him." He brings it in, hooks it up and shows me how to operate it. I'm thinking good deal. I have the next 2 days off.......Let's ROCK!!! The dude pours me a glass and himself, I think no biggie. Let the guy take a break he just lugged this tapper up to my place on the 2nd floor. We start sipping and he is telling me how having a home tapper can save tons of money and stuff. He gets up and pours himself another glass. I then think, "ok, he's a good ole boy, no biggie". Well this continues for about an hour...LOL. This guy just keeps filling his glass....LOL. He wouldn't leave!!!! Finally he starts getting the hint and he takes off....LOL. Well, that's how I got my home tapper. I can't remember the dudes name, but, I will never forget him, lol. I wouldn't mind having a job like that.
