Well, went to the county fair last night. The lady had her 6 year old grand kid with us. Now, I was surprised. Sure they charged us 10 bucks apiece to get in, yeah even for the kid, but it was worth it I guess. We did not know this when we got there, but, the kid got his hand stamped. I thought it was to prove that he was over 36 inches tall so he could ride the rides. We were wrong. It turns out all the rides were included with the entry price. That was kinda cool. I was figuring that to ride the rides, you would have to buy tickets probably at 3 bucks a pop. So 10 bucks for the kid to get in was worth it. He rode almost every ride. He had a great time. He told us that he had never been to a carnival before.
The other crap was expensive though. That don't surprise me. The games were 3-5 bucks a pop, and the prizes were cheap dollar store crap. That's the norm. I got my yearly fair corn dog. This one wasn't that great. We had an alright time I guess. Dropped 60 bucks, but oh well.
They were doing tractor pulls last night. We didn't really want to stay around for that. It was sweltering out. We came home and I had to take another shower. I was sweating like a pig.

Same shit, different day around here. Not much happening. Thinking of going to the county fair on Tuesday. Wanna see the pig show!!!!! Haha. Country fairs, ya gotta love em. There is going to be a demolition derby there Saturday night. Don't know about that. This is a country fair, but SHIT, big city prices. 10 dollars to get into the fair at the gate, then if you wanna check out the demo derby another 35 bucks!!!! WTF is that all about?
The lady and I went to a different county fair last year. Paid 10 bucks at the gate, that sucked. I wasted 20 bucks for nothing. That fair sucked. I don't know if we will go. I am not going to mention it to the lady. If I do that and change my mind about going, that will give her something else to complain about.
I noticed, she ain't happy unless she is bitching about something. I bring something up, and I'm beating a dead horse, I guess it's alright for her. Fuck that. I ignore her.

Almost 1 Month
Well, not much has been happening around here. Been hotter than hell and that's about it. The bum is still employed. I'm surprised. His wife does not have a job yet, so, I think that is the reason he still has his. He has been doing work in my yard, my lady has got him doing all kinds of shit.
I finally got a hand up on that fucking pool. It took me awhile, but it's clean. Now, I just need to let it sit for a couple days and test the chemicals. I gotta do that on Friday. Then we will be able to use it. Fuck, summer is half over!! I still have not been able to use my pool. It was in very bad shape though. I did not cover it last winter and there were tons of leaves and sticks in the fucker. But, it's all good now. Hooked a brand new pump and it's working real good. I had to replace the power outlet for the pump outside, so that's brand new as well. I am never going to let my pool get that bad again. It's funny though. Last summer there were only 4-5 days that were warm enough to swim. Christ, this summer has been a fucking scorcher.
On a side note, I have started collecting Baseball Cards again. I've placed the music on the back burner so to speak. I have what I like as far as music anyways. Thinking maybe of swinging this blog in the Baseball Card direction. Not sure. Not that the web has a shortage of Card Collecting Blogs.
The Lady and I are getting along. I think I was in a funk last month. I don't know. She still gets on my nerves though. We may need to talk about that. Other than that, things have been peachy.

That Didn't Take Long
Well, the bum has lost his job. Not that it was a real job anyways. I can not say that I am surprised. The guy has never had a "real" job as far as I know. Now I'm waiting.
I guess when his wife showed up, they paid the rent on their house a few months in advance. The wife does not have a job yet either as far as I know. Their tax return money has been used up, I know that, they guy came over here a few days ago to borrow 10 bucks from his mom. So, we will see.
They are not getting a fucking dime from me. They are not moving in. Been there, done that. I have helped enough. If I find out, my lady is supporting them, it's over.
Now, if the guy wants to come over here and do yard work, no problem. My lady will pay him. The free ride is over.
I will have my lawn guy cut the grass, he does a great job BTW, but the bum can do all the other crap. Speaking of the lawn. I had to treat the lawn yesterday for fleas and ticks. I walked out onto the front porch to have a cig and noticed a tick crawling on my arm. I fucking freaked!!! Luckily I got the little fucker before he could dig in. That freaked me the fuck out! I can not remember the last time I had a tick on my ass. I heard ticks are going to be bad this year, so I went and spread flea & tick killer over the whole back yard. I don't want my dog to get the little bastards.
Well, I have the basement about where I want it. I just need to clean up the clutter now. I like how it turned out. I was thinking of putting a drop ceiling down there and have since changed my mind. I'm going to go with sheet rock. That will be my next big project. I spend most of my time at home down here anyways.
Well gotta go, I still have my coffee to finish. I just woke up. I knew that bum would not be employed very long.

We Now Have A Guest Room
It's done. I finished painting the master bedroom last week, it took me all day Wed. We had the bed delivered on Friday last week. My lady finished up the guest room, and I must say, it looks really nice.
We have come to a decision about our new bed. We ain't keeping it. When we purchased it, we had no idea it sat so high. This dam bed is about 3 1/2 feet tall. My lady needs a stepping stool just to get into it. She also don't like sleeping up so high, it don't bother me, but she don't like it. It is a really nice bed, but we are going to be selling it. We are currently looking for another one. This time, my lady says, she is going to get the bed that she wants. Period. She don't care how much it costs. That's ok with me. She is saving her money to buy it, I know when she finds the one she wants, I will probably have to throw in some cash as well, but, that's alright with me. I just want her to be happy.
It's still really cool having a guest room, I have informed my folks that it is ready and that they are welcome anytime.
I'm working a new shift at work. I have to stick around there now till 0830. That sucks. I hate being around all those people. I'm a night person. I hate crowds. I have asked my boss if I could go back to leaving at 0730, he has advised me that it can't happen. So, I'm going to have to deal with it. I still only work 4 days a week, so I guess that it ain't so bad.
Opened the pool last week, man, that dam water was green. My pool guy sold me some chemicals that I dumped in there, the water is clear now. I don't have the pump on yet though. I have to replace the outlet outside that it plugs into. I have been loading that dam pool up with chlorine so the water don't go green again. I will get the outlet swapped out this week.
I have been pretty busy around the house lately. Getting shit situated for summer. I have had my yard guy out 2 times to cut the grass so far. Man that fucking grass grows fast. The yard looks good though. The lady went out and got some fruit trees that she wants to plant. A couple apple, 1 pear and a plum tree. I have no idea where she wants to plant them. I might plant then, I don't know. I will have to see how hard it is digging the first hole. I'm a lazy ass when it comes to yard work. I just might have the yard guy plant them.
I gotta say, painting that room last week, is the most manual work I have done in a long time, hehehe. I have a desk job. I am sooo out of shape. I condition I will think to change this summer. Me and the lady both want to quit smoking. I have told her that it is up to her when we start. I can't do it by myself. We may start next month.
I had to have a plummer out here last week. I left the garden hose hooked up to one of my outside faucets. It froze and broke the pipe. The pool guys turned the hose on and water started running on the floor in my garage. That got fixed. I had no idea just leaving a hose hooked up would do that. Now I do.
Well the lady is still sleeping. I cleaned up the stove for her earlier, she should be happy. I'm thinking of laying back down, I have been up all night.
